We do not offer anymore TicketPlan Travel Protection for non-refundable tickets. However we are pleased to inform you that customers who have a valid TicketPlan will be able to use
IN THIS ARTICLE
What is Travel Protection?
We offer this in collaboration with another company called TicketPlan.
If you added TicketPlan to your order, you'll have extra protection if you are unable to travel due to circumstances such as serious injury, illness or non-running of one part of your trip that leads to the cancellation of the entire journey. To check what cases are covered, please see the full TicketPlan Terms and Conditions.
Reimbursement will only be available for the cost of the tickets so TicketPlan Travel Protection is not a substitute for travel insurance. For example, it won't cover any additional costs you incur due to the cancellation e.g. hotels, etc.
Applying for reimbursement
To apply for reimbursement, fill out an online form or download a copy to print and send by post. This must be done as soon as reasonably possible and no later than 14 days after you have become aware of circumstances that may lead you to cancel your trip.
You will need to provide a copy of your Rail Europe booking confirmation email, PDF or original unused tickets (if collected or issued by post) along with evidence showing the reason for your cancellation. For details of what evidence will be requested please see the "Requesting reimbursement" section of the TicketPlan Terms and Conditions.
For more information, please see TicketPlan FAQs. You can see what circumstances are covered by the Travel Protection and what evidence you must be provided within the TicketPlan Terms and Conditions. If you have any questions concerning your reimbursement request, you can email firstname.lastname@example.org.
