Current disruption

Widespread engineering and maintenance works are currently happening in France. The most important incidents are listed below, but please visit SBB's Traffic info page for a list of all the ongoing disruptions.

1. Lyria - Engineering works in France and Switzerland.

Due to engineering works on the line in France and Switzerland, travel will be disrupted on TGV Lyria in the first half of 2022, particularly between Basel and Zurich.

Trains between Paris and Zurich will terminate in Basel (in both directions):

    • From 18 February to 6 March
    • the weekends of 19-20 March, 26-27 March, 2-3 April and 9-10 April
    • From 19 April to 1 May
    • From 26 May to 24 July

The Basel<>Zurich connection will be provided by an SBB train service, which can be booked alongside your TGV Lyria ticket.

Please check here the complete calendar.

What to do if you experience a delay

Please speak to staff on the train or at the station if you are delayed. They will have the most up to date information and can tell you what to do. Also, ask the staff to stamp your ticket with proof of delay. This will make it easier for you to travel on later trains.

Keep all of your tickets until you return home. They can be used to submit a claim to the rail operator if you incur any unavoidable additional costs (new tickets, taxis).

For more information, please see our Help article: What happens if I miss my connection.

If you have tickets for onward travel on trains which are scheduled to run as normal, refunds and exchanges are only permitted as per fare conditions.

Please note that this information is provided by the rail operator and cannot be guaranteed by Rail Europe.
